Instance Properties

Inventor 2022 and later only - Manage instance properties. These are properties unique to a particular component instance in an assembly. See the Instance Properties Configuration Editor page for more information on setting up instance property management.

The Configuration Editor opens with the property set for the active Inventor document type (Part, Assembly, etc.). You can edit the property set for other document types by selecting the document type from the list on the toolbar.

Tip: Since all standard properties are common to all Inventor document types, you can manage most properties regardless of the active Inventor document. However, we strongly recommend opening the appropriate template (part, assembly, and so on) before using the Configuration Editor to set up the properties for that document type.
