Property Editor - Properties Grid Navigation

When you first open the iPropWiz Property Editor ( PE ), the first editable value cell in the grid is highlighted and is placed in edit mode. Since your interest in the PE is to enter or select property values, navigation in the PE is designed to make this as easy as possible.

You are free to use the mouse to click in any Value cell to begin editing the value. However, the grid is designed to work most efficiently with keyboard navigation. The following table outlines the keys and key combinations for general navigation in the grid. Keyboard shortcuts for individual value editors are outlined on the page detailing the editor.

Note: If the value cell enables you to enter a value directly (i.e. enter text or a numeric value), the cell is automatically placed in edit mode on entry. For value cells where a drop-down is available, you can use the F2 key to activate the drop-down, or click the drop down arrow at the end of the cell.

Tab or Enter or Down Arrow	Apply any edits to the value and moves to the value cell in the next row.	Moves to the value cell in the next row.
Shift+Tab or Shift+Enter or Up Arrow	Apply any edits to the value and moves to the value cell in the previous row.	Moves to the value cell in the previous row.
Esc	Restore the property value to the value on entry to the cell. The editor remains active.	N/A
Home	Moves cursor prior to the first character in the cell. The editor remains active.	N/A
End	Moves cursor prior to the last character in the cell. The editor remains active.	N/A
Page Up	Apply any edits to the value and move to the first visible value cell in the currently visible grid rows.	Move to the first visible value cell in the currently visible grid rows.
Page Down	Apply any edits to the value and move to the last visible value cell in the currently visible grid rows.	Moves to the last visible value cell in the currently visible grid rows.
