Update to a newer version of iPropWiz 7

iPropWiz 7 has different build versions that work with different Autodesk Inventor versions. If you are moving to a new version of Autodesk Inventor that requires a different version of iPropWiz 7, simply download the full installer for the matching iPropWiz 7 version and install it. The full installation always includes the latest updates.

To update your current version of iPropWiz 7:

If you a looking to update your current version of iPropWiz 7 (either 7.19, 7.21, 7.22, 7.23, or 7.24), you can use the iPropWiz 7 updater tool (included with iPropWiz 7) to easily manage updates to the add-in. You must close Autodesk Inventor before updating iPropWiz 7.

In the folder containing your iPropWiz configuration files, ensure there is a folder named Updates

Tip: The location of your configurations folder is displayed in the title bar of both the iPropWiz Configuration Editor, and the iPropWiz Property Editor.

In the \Updates folder:

If you are updating iPropWiz 7.19. create or ensure there is a folder named 7.19

If you are updating iPropWiz 7.21. create or ensure there is a folder named 7.21

If you are updating iPropWiz 7.22. create or ensure there is a folder named 7.22

If you are updating iPropWiz 7.23. create or ensure there is a folder named 7.23

If you are updating iPropWiz 7.24. create or ensure there is a folder named 7.24

Check for the latest version of the add-in on the iPropWiz 7 home page.

Ensure that you are downloading the update for your version of Autodesk Inventor.

iPropWiz 7.19 versions work with Autodesk Inventor 2019 and 2020.

iPropWiz 7.21 versions work with Autodesk Inventor 2021

iPropWiz 7.22 versions work with Autodesk Inventor 2022

iPropWiz 7.23 versions work with Autodesk Inventor 2023

iPropWiz 7.24 versions work with Autodesk Inventor 2024

Tip: You can access the iPropWiz 7 home page from the iPropWiz Configuration Editor tools menu.

Download the latest "Dll only update" zip file for your iPropWiz 7 version.

Unzip the file and place the extracted iPropWiz7.dll file in the \Updates\7.xx\ folder referenced in step 2. If the folder contains a previous update, overwrite the existing file.

If you place the file in the wrong folder the update will not occur.

The next time a user starts Autodesk Inventor, the iPropWiz 7 add-in is automatically updated on their computer. No user interaction is required.

Notes:

If a problem is encountered during the update process, the user is informed that a manual update is required. You can copy the updated iPropWiz7.dll over the existing file.

oAutodesk Inventor must be closed before updating the files.

oThe install location for iPropWiz 7 is C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor Addins\C-Cubed\iPropWiz7\iPropWiz7.xx where xx is the specific version of the update file

You can install different versions of iPropWiz 7 without issue. Do this if you need to run multiple versions of Autodesk Inventor (i.e You are using all versions of Autodesk Inventor 2019 to 2024).
