Drag and Drop in Grids

Drag and drop reordering is supported in the following iPropWiz grids.

Configuration Editor: Property Grid

Configuration Editor: iLogic Rules Options

New - Dec 2020 - Configuration Editor: Manage custom properties (access from the available properties list context menu)

List Editor: List grid for all grid types other than Multi-level Tree list (Tree lists support drag and drop in the TreeList control).

The following table outlines the steps to reorder row in a grid using drag and drop. The example shows the property grid in the iPropWiz Configuration Editor but the process is the same for all grids.

1.	Sort the grid in ascending order in the Order (#) column.
2.	Select one or more rows to reorder by clicking the row header(s). The rows are not required to be a continuous group of rows. Use Ctrl + click and Shift + click selection methods to select multiple rows.
3.	Click and drag in the Order (#) cell of one of the selected rows. As you drag, valid drop locations are indicated with a line. You can only drop the rows above the first row selected, or below the last row selected. The number of row to be moved is shown in a glyph attached to the drop line.
4.	Release the mouse button to drop the rows in the new location. The order column is updated to reflect the new row order.
